RDF and OWL

• RDF (Resource Description Framework) is a standard for data exchange on the net.
• OWL (the web ontology language) is a family of knowledge representation languages for developing ontologies.
• These both have interactions with each other and XML.
• They provide mechanisms for building and maintaining sophisticated ontologies.
