# Translational Motion Review

- This is the stuff about acceleration, velocity, and position
that we've already covered.
- Force = mass*acceleration.
- Velocity changes position.
- Acceleration changes velocity.
- Force changes acceleration.
- Typically, acceleration, velocity and position are all represented
by 3D vectors.
- Total velocity = sqrt(Vx*Vx + Vy*Vy + Vz*Vz).
- Velocity is the derivative of position.
- Acceleration is the derivative of velocity.
- Therefore acceleration is the second derivative of position.
