• Data Mining involves a lot of things including special database techniques and machine learning techniques.
• Why and when is data mining useful.
• There are some nuts and bolts to databases, like alignment, OLAP, and cleansing that you should have an idea about.
• Machine learning techniques will not be examined, but the idea of extracting information from large data sets is examinable.
