What is AI good for?
AI is currently used for:
- Data mining, which is used by
stock analysis, supermarkets, currency predicition,
pharmaceutical research, internet hit analysis and
a host of other things.
- Expert Systems for everything from process management to
medical diagnosis.
- Robots
- Games; you can't sell a video game now days without it at least
saying it has AI.
- Lots of other things like planning, semantic analysis, and
Machine Translation.
- If you're good at AI, there will be more and more jobs available for
you.
- If you're good at AI, you're good at programming and there are always
jobs available for good programmers.
