Plan for CAs and Physical Robots

  1. Get something working and write a paper or two
    • Pick a working group
    • Pick a platform
    • Pick a task
    • Implement a simple system reusing as much of CABot3 as possible
    • Could use thesis students
    • Add spatial cognitive map of the environment.
    • Probably have to solve some other problems on the way.
  2. Write a proposal
    • Come up with a group, platform and task.
    • Could use multiple platforms and tasks.
    • Might consider frame problem.
    • Should consider multiple level issues
    • Should consider interactions between subsystems
    • Should consider learning
  3. Moving from proof of concept to advancement over the state of the art. Should this be part of 2?
