Sequence Recognition
- My PhD student Hina Ghalib is working on this.
- The first simulation for CAs was Rochester et al (1956).
- It was a failed attempt to get sequence working.
- We'd like to get some sequences working.
- This would help us move beyond the single stable state.
- We'd like to be able to recognise sequences and even
complete some.
- This work should relate to some of the Central Pattern Generator
work.
- In addition to this computational work, we are hoping to
use sequences as a basis for robotic motation.
- The basic idea is to have base CAs and use higher
order sequence CAs that are activated by the base
CAs and eventually can activate them.
