  1. You can make computational models of most things. I think to really understand something, you need to have a computational model of it.
  2. The brain is made up (at a simple level) neurons and synapses.
  3. You can make pretty good models of neurons and synapses, but we don't know how to wire a large number of them together.
  4. There are a lot of other things in brains and other ways to model.
  5. Brains sit in bodies that have grown together. That's really hard to model.
