Beyond Categorisation
- One of the nice things about this type of net, is that
it can go beyond categorisation.
- Standard Hopfield nets (Integrate and Fire with symmetric
connectivity), go into a state and stay there.
- CANT Nets go into a pseudo stable state, and when categorising
usually stay there (we cheat when we change at the end of
an epoch).
- It's pseudo stable because neurons come on and off.
- However, it can move onto new states.
- This is the next stage of evolution of the system.
- Moving on to dynamic processes and functions.
