Week 1: Introduction
The lecture and seminar will be led by Chris Huyck. This will start with
an introduction to the module, but will then move on to an introduction
to Mind Maps. The seminar will concentrate on mind mapping techniques.
The introduction will describe the aims and outcomes of the module. Each
week will have a different expert concentrating on their area. Consequently
each week will vary in teaching style as well as topic. It is important,
that where given assigned reading is done before the class.
Mind mapping is a mechanism for describing and exploring any concept or
topic. An introduction to this technique will be given. No reading
is assumed to have been done before the lecture, but the course text
The Mind Map Book is a relatively easy read and would be
useful to have read.
